Quill is the penultimate build of the Sou’wester 42. She’s a few years younger than my daughter, and certainly part of our family. Unlike some of the later-built sailboats, she was built at the Southwest Harbor yard. I have great memories of visiting the yard and getting to know the fine craftspeople who brought her to life. I like to think she’s part of their families too.
